How do you feel about your role as a Cultural Ambassador?: I feel lucky. I have always wanted to learn about a different culture that I have not learned yet and know i have he chance.
Do you feel ready to represent your own culture?: yes i do, i feel comfortable with myself.
To learn from others?: yes, i wanna learn so much when i go on this trip.
What are the important things for this team to remember to do to be good Cultural Ambassadors?: Take people for who they are not for how they look or act because everyone is equal! |

| Inupiaq Day- Making and Sharing Food |
|
What we learned. We learned that a lot of the time people living in Rural areas have to improvise and make their own tools or modify their machines to what they need in the village.
The students learned how hard of work it is to make and prepare foods. While cutting up meat for Eskimo salad they were very aware of how much their backs hurt. |

What we learned.:When making the eskimo salad we learned all about the preservation of the different meats used by the village. We learned how they render the seal fat to make oil, which was different from how some of us learned from other native groups in Alaska. We also were told how they hunt for seal and their techniques on processing the animal. |
