Highlights from our team's thoughts about being a Cultural Ambassador
see more on the Personal Profiles |
What are some things you have learned about being a Cultural Ambassador that really stood out to you?: Natives are smart about alot of things. If it wasn't for their inginuity, how would they have survived in the frozen tundra for so many years. It takes skill to clean a salmon, mend a net, catch animals for food.
Many of us in our native culture are helpful to each other. When we hear of a person that is running low on food, we would stop by after a successful hunt and give the a share or even all of the catch we have made.
How do you feel about your role as a Cultural Ambassador?: I feel that I would play a good role as a Cultural Ambassador. I feel confident that I can show people that our culture is unique. |
