Area for Exploration One: One Thing We Must See Or Experience When We Go To Anchorage:
UAA Tour
What we learned. The different appartments at UAA. What ANSEP was. Its a good college to go to because we're residents of Alaska.
At UAA

Area for Exploration Two
Oil Spills, Oceans and Otters: Twenty Years after the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Event at the Anchorage Zoo
What we learned. Animals died from the oil spill, there is still oil in the beaches, and a lot of money was put into restoration.
This day was a blast!!

Area for Exploration Three
Flattop View of Alaska
What we learned. The lodge at the top had a museum! The tram can hold a lot of people. The views from the lodge are incredible. The tram takes you up really far. Also, we learned that Sophia is really afraid of the tram.
What an amazing time!

Destination Eleven: Our First Week Together
Closing circle thoughts from our team on the first exchange

What are some of the important things that you have learned about your Sister Schools culture from this visit?: They are really welcoming and truly cared about us. Also, kids in Anchorage are so busy all the time!!
How do you think that this visit has changed how you think about yourself and your own culture?:
We like our laid back lifestyle and not having to rush from one event to another. I didn't realize how much I have gotten used to this pace of life! It was really hard to keep up. I was so tired when I got back, I dragged for almost a week. It was really emotional for me to balance the week and be as punctual as I would have liked.
